Retail therapy, another kind of treatment

It's not called retail therapy for nothing; unwind with a day of quality shopping in Cannes. There’s no shortage of haute couture in Cannes’ high-end boutiques, many of which are situated around Rue d’Antibes and La Croisette. Don’t miss the Philippe Starck-designed Jean-Paul Gaultier boutique, on Boulevard de la Croisette, which was the first of its kind outside Paris. A stroll down Rue d’Antibes will awaken your senses with its lush perfumeries, florists and chocolate shops.

Cannes

Soak up the sun

With the shimmering Mediterranean sea on one side and the jagged red rock of the Estérel mountains on the other, La Croisette is a seaside promenade worth a wander. Should you tire of gazing out at the yachts in the distance, this mile-long stroll offers plenty of people-watching opportunities. Grab an ice cream and watch glamorous pedestrians as they cruise by.

You can also soak up Cannes’s famous sunshine on one of its endless beaches, which are dotted with palm trees if you prefer the shade. And for true peace and quiet, leave the city behind. Hop aboard a boat for a slow cruise along the Corniche d’Or, or book an excursion to a local island through Compagnie Maritime Lérins St Honorat, who specializes in leisurely wine country cruises.
