BluView Riviera, the most amazing panoramic views on the French Riviera

Radisson Blu would like to take you on a tour of the French Riviera to discover the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. Our trip will take us to seven exceptional places which will undoubtedly make you fall in love with the French Riviera. Let’s go…

Stop # 1 : the Old-Harbor of Marseille

Our first stop will take you to the terrace of the Radisson Blu Marseille where, while having a nice cocktail, you will be able to admire the old harbor, the ships at anchor as well as a series of historical monuments which are emblematic of this view: Citadelle Saint Nicolas, Palais du Pharo or Abbaye Saint Victor. Just opposite the hotel, on the other side of the harbor, you will see the hill where the famous and picturesque old quarter known as “le Panier” is situated.

Stop # 2 : Les Calanques (Cassis)

If you are looking for something more dramatic and spectacular, you will have to stop at the famous Calanques in Cassis. Huge cliffs dive into the sea forming narrow creeks known as the “Calanques”. Access is not easy but there are a few routes which will allow you to explore these natural wonders on foot (via the Cap Canaille), by car or by boat.

Stop # 3 : Le Rastel d’Agay

Up in the mountains of Esterel, you will probably want to explore the Raste d’Agay, a rocky headland which offers one of the most wonderful views in the area. From this spot, you will find yourself looking down on the Bay of Agay, the town of Le Dramont and the Saint-Tropez Gulf. An orientation table has been installed to help hikers spot the different sites. Access to the Rastel d’Agay is only possible on foot and will take you approximately 2 hours (round trip).

Stop # 4 : The Bay of Cannes

When entering into Cannes by the seaside, you will not fail to make a halt at the Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso, Cannes where you will get a chance to take a refreshing break. Perched on our panoramic rooftop you will admire the view: the Esterel mountain, the Bay of Cannes in front of you, the islands of Lérins and the harbor of Cannes. This is often considered to be the most beautiful view in Cannes. Unsurprisingly, the hotel has received the award of the “Best Rooftop View in France 2016” at the au World Luxury Hotel Award.

Stop # 5 : The Baie des Anges (Nice)

To fully enjoy the Baie des Anges, which harmoniously spreads before the city of Nice, we only have one and only recommendation. Step into an elevator and climb up onto the rooftop of the Radisson Blu Nice. Located on the renowned Promenade des Anglais, the hotel rooftop provides numerous amenities for your enjoyment and relaxation. With its swimming-pool, its Lounge Bar and its brand-new panoramic restaurant (opening Spring 2017), this is the largest rooftop in Nice. Its 180° view on the Baie des Anges, the Mont-Boron in the distance or, further away, on the Cap-Ferrat will literally astound you.

Stop # 6: The Botanical Gardens in Eze-Village

If you decide to stop at Eze-Village, a small town perched just above the sea, you will be able to explore its famous botanical gardens and, from there amongst succulents and cacti, your eyes will meet the most stunning sea-view on the French Riviera with the beautiful Cap Ferrat, the roofs of the old village and the small houses hanging over the sea. No wonder that the town has been nick-names “the eagle’s nest of the Côte d’Azur”.

Stop # 7 : La Tête de Chien (La Turbie)

On the scenic road known as the Grande Corniche which will take you from Nice to the Italian border you will find many vantage points. Amongst those, you will choose La Tête de Chien (the dog’s head) located in La Turbie to view probably one of the most impressive landscapes looking down on the sea and the city of Monaco. This place is probably not so well-known but it is easily accessible and is truly worth a picture or a selfie.
