Design: Radisson Blu Edinburgh gets a makeover

Design has always been part of Radisson Blu’s DNA. With the 12 million £ refurbishment of the iconic Radisson Blu Hotel Edinburgh, Radisson Blu proves once again that it’s on top of its game when it comes to stylish, feel-good interiors. Here, we take you on a little tour through the building’s gorgeous new premises. Enjoy!

The building, which also boasts a beautiful 16th-century style façade, features no less than 238 rooms which all have been given a complete makeover. Revealing a contemporary style combined with a dash of local flavour, they’re chic but comfortable at the same time. The luxurious beds and modern media hubs make you almost want to stay in all day and forget about your jam-packed sightseeing schedule (we’re speaking from experience).

If you’re looking for relaxation and need a break from the buzz of the city, the hotel’s very own spa is the perfect spot for you. The Melrose Spa & Health Club just opened its doors a little while ago as part of the refurbishment and offers everything from a heated indoor pool to a first class fitness center.

A stylish lounge area

The hotel’s entire ground floor space with bar, restaurant, and lounge area was remodelled too, impressing with a bold, fashionable but warm and inviting vibe. The ideal spot for coffee with a friend, a business lunch, or a dinner date at the hotel’s Itchycoo restaurant (the salmon is to die for!)
