The city of Dubai is an inspiring holiday destination, and many of the attractions are great to visit if you are travelling in a group.

Burj Khalifa

One of the top Dubai attractions is the incredible Burj Khalifa skyscraper.

As the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa is a modern architectural masterpiece and a great place to visit with a group in Dubai. Start your trip to Burj Khalifa at the Dubai Mall with an exhibition on Dubai’s exotic history. From here you can visit the ‘At The Top’ observation deck for outstanding views of Dubai, the surrounding desert and the ocean, from the 124th floor.

Dubai Jazz Festival

Fans of music should head the annual Dubai Jazz Festival, which takes place from 19 to 27 February 2015.

For eleven years the Dubai Jazz Festival has been a prominent feature in the Dubai cultural calendar, and is the most popular multi-day festival in the region. More than 500 performers have taken part in the Dubai Jazz Festival to date, with recent acts including Santana, Jools Holland, Macy Gray, and many jazz legends.

Deira Creek

Take a trip to Deira Creek for pretty views over the water and to see the unique, mixed skyline of traditional and modern Dubai.

Make time to explore the docks around the water’s edge, such as Dhow Wharfage, where you will get a feel for Dubai of old. Take your group across Deira Creek in an abra, which is normally very cheap, and head to the green gardens of Creek Park for a fun afternoon. Groups can take a sightseeing cruise along Dubai Creek in an authentic wooden dhow, or enjoy a banquet cruise in the evenings.

Gold Souk

The Souks make great places to visit with a group in Dubai, and the Gold Souk is a must visit Dubai attraction.

The Dubai Gold Souk, known as Dubai City of Gold, houses an incredible amount of jewellery in a variety of small shops. As well as gold, the souk sells crystal, gems, silver and other accessories. It’s an incredible sight whether or not you want to buy precious metals. If you do want to buy something, be prepared spend time calmly and politely haggling down from the asking price, which is often inflated.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek is ideally located near the Gold Souk and many other Dubai attractions, in the heart of Old Dubai.

Spice Souk

When you’re visiting the Gold Souk, make sure your group visits the nearby Spice Souk in Dubai near the banks of Deira Creek.

You’ll find an incredible array of spices on offer from merchants here, as well as some local craft, food and art. The sights and smells evoke spice trading from days gone past, and you can pick up souvenirs to take home unlike those you will find in the grant malls. Once you’ve visited the Spice Souk, take time to stroll around Old Dubai to visit other authentic souks, cafes and restaurants, modern malls and other Dubai attractions.

Have you ever been to a traditional souk?
