“Ich war noch niemals in New York” (Eng.: I’ve never been to New York before) – a German musical classic is on display again
The “Wunder von Bern“ impressively told the story of the football world champions in post-war Germany. The musical was replaced in January 2017 by “Ich war noch niemals in New York”. Musical fans as well as the followers of Udo Jürgens can look forward to the greatest hits of this exceptional artist. Udo Jürgens was a legendary singer and composer in the 50th until the 80th in German speaking countries. The music is embedded in a picture-gifted show act. World premiere celebrated the musical 10 years ago – where else – also in Hamburg. Since then, over 4 million visitors have been watching this award-winning musical.
The Lion King has been enchanting audiences in Hamburg since 2001. Since fall 2015 another musical based on a hit Disney film graces the city’s stages. Aladdin brings the 1992 animated favorite to life. Filled with the film’s beloved songs and a few new tunes from Oscar winner Alan Menken, all performed in German. Expect no shortage of flashy costumes, spectacular dancing sequences, dazzling lighting effects and the light-hearted comedic edge characteristic of Disney. This new Broadway musical is shown at Hamburg’s Flora Theater. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Hamburg Airport is just 20-minute away. The talent behind this critically acclaimed show also includes fellow Oscar winner and lyricist Howard Ashman. The local cast is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw.
Hinterm Horizont (Eng.:„Behind horizon“)
