ELIGIBILITY: The Radisson Blu Social Eyes Contest (the “Contest”) is open to persons who are the age of majority or older in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. The Contest is void and not open to residents of, or persons located in, the following jurisdictions: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, Burma, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Georgia, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Quebec, Rwanda, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Zambia, any country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, or any country which is not available as an option on the registration page of the Web Site at the time of entry.Employees, directors and officers of Radisson Hotels International, Inc. (“Americas/Asia Pacific Regional Promoter”) and Rezidor Hotels ApS Danmark (“Europe, Middle East and Africa Regional Promoter”, together with the Americas/Asia Pacific Regional Promoter, jointly referred to as “Promoter”), and their affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, fulfillment, judging and Contest agencies, including Amaze Limited (”Administrator”) (collectively, “Contest Parties”), and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each) and those living in their same households of each are not eligible to enter or win. If you enter this Contest (an “Entrant”), you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that all decisions of the Promoter will be final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, log on to the Promoter’s web site at http://blog.radissonblu.com/, http://blog.radissonblu.de/, http://blog.radissonblu.fr/, http://blog.radissonblu.no/, or http://blog.radissonblu.se, (“Web Site”) and enter all information requested, including your name, country of residence, e-mail address (“Registration Information”).  After entering all Registration Information, enter a positive piece of advice that others may find interesting, intriguing or entertaining about a location where there is a Radisson Blu hotel, along with the hashtag #contest (a “Travel Tip”).  Once you complete all Registration Information, submit a valid Travel Tip, and click on the “I Accept” button to indicate your acceptance of these Official Rules, you will receive one (1) entry into the corresponding Entry Period (an “Entry”).  You may submit an unlimited number of Entries for each Entry Period.  Entries from one Entry Period do not carry over into another Entry Period, but you may submit the same Travel Tip with an Entry more than one time.

Promoter must receive your Entry no later than the End Time/Date for the corresponding Entry Period. Contest Parties assume no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible, undelivered, garbled, damaged, incomplete Entries or submissions, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Contest Parties also assume no responsibility for any technical problems in connection with transmission or receipt of online Entries including faulty electronic data transmission, traffic congestion on the Internet or on the Web Site, hardware or software error, equipment failure or malfunction, or other online communications problems. Promoter is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users, by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in the sweepstakes or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of the entries. Promoter is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature.

The Travel Tip must contain the hashtag “#contest” to be valid.  A Travel Tip may, but is not required to, include photographs or images. Travel Tips, photographs, and images are subject to the submission requirements set forth herein. Each Travel Tip must be typed in the text box indicated on the Web Site, and be in the language of the particular website (English, German, Swedish, French or Norwegian).

All Entrants must have a valid email address. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder ofthe e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Automated Entries (including but not limited to Entries made using any script, macro, bot, or Contest service) or attempts to submit an Entry through post or facsimile are not allowed. Any Entrant may at Promoter’s discretion be requested to provide Promoter with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the Entry.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: As used herein, “Content” refers to all information, materials and any other content you submit in connection with the Contest (including, but not limited to, the Travel Tip, photographs, images, descriptions, and hash tags).

Entrant acknowledges and agrees that submission of Content grants Promoter and its agents a worldwide, perpetual (for any jurisdiction that prohibits perpetual copyright assignment, for the duration of the copyright), non-exclusive license and right to publish, use, edit and adapt the Content in any way, in any and all media, without consideration to the Entrant, except where prohibited by law. Further, to the extent Entrant may have moral rights in the Content submitted, he/she hereby waives all such moral rights in favor of Promoter unless he/she is an Australian resident, or the resident of another jurisdiction which prohibits requiring a waiver of moral rights, in which case such Entrant consents to the Promoter and its agents doing (or omitting to do) any acts in respect of the Content which may otherwise constitute an infringement of his/her moral rights.

By submitting Content in the Contest, Entrant warrants and represents that his/her Content conforms to the submission requirements set forth herein, including that Content:

  • cannot be sexually explicit or suggestive, unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, profane or pornographic, contain nudity or any materially dangerous activity;
  • cannot promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any particular political agenda or message;
  • cannot be obscene or offensive, endorse any form of hate or hate group;
  • cannot defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Promoter or its products, or other people, products or companies;
  • other than Promoter’s trademark and brand, cannot contain trademarks, owned by others, or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind without permission, or contain any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses, without permission;
  • cannot contain copyrighted materials owned by others without permission;
  • cannot contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, or other indicia identifying any person, living or dead, without permission;
  • cannot communicate messages inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Promoter wishes to associate;
  • cannot depict, and cannot itself, be in violation of any law; and
  • cannot contain any other content that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable, or offensive, as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion.

WINNER SELECTION: On or around the Judging Date for each Entry Period, a judge or panel of judges appointed by Promoter (collectively, the “Judge”) will review all eligible Travel Tips and select the winners for that Entry Period.  The Judge’s decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the Contest. The Judges will evaluate each eligible Travel Tip based on the following criteria:

The potential winners for each Entry Period will be the Entrants whose Entries obtained the highest score from the Judges. In the event of a tie, the Judges will determine the potential winner based on the highest score in the first judging criteria, continuing thereafter to each judging criteria in order, as needed, to break the tie.

Promoter will notify potential winners by e-mail, at the email address provided with the Registration Information. Promoter is not responsible for any change of email address or any other information of Entrants. If the email address submitted by an Entrant is invalid, the prize may be forfeited. Potential winners are subject to verification, including eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.  Where lawful, potential winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and a Publicity Release within seven (7) days of notification in a form provided by Promoter.

Each winner agrees (and agrees to confirm in writing) that the Promoter and/or Contest Parties shall be entitled (but not obliged) to use the name, biography, photographs, videos and likeness of the winner in connection with any advertising, publicity or editorial purposes in any media throughout the world in connection with this Contest. To the extent permitted by law, each Entrant waives his/her moral and similar rights.

PRIZE:  Each verified winner will receive one (1) complimentary night in a standard room, double occupancy, at a participating Radisson Blu hotel worldwide (each a “Prize”).  Instructions on how to redeem the Prize will be included in an email to the winner from the Promoter. The Prize must be consumed no later than February 28, 2015, may not be transferred, is subject to availability, is only valid at participating properties, is subject to the specific hotel’s policies, and is subject to additional terms and conditions as may be determined by the Promoter.  Prize includes all taxes, but does not include any other expenses, such as travel, meals, gratuities, luggage fees, or incidental hotel charges, all of which are the sole responsibility of winner. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize is between US$108-204/EU€80-150 (EUR amount an approximation based on conversion rate of 1.36), or the equivalent amount in the currency of the country where the winner is residing or located.  Aggregate ARV for all Prizes is US$32,400-61,200/EU€24,000-45,000.

No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of Prize is permitted except at Promoter’s sole discretion. If Prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Promoter reserves the right to substitute Prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Any portion of the prize not accepted by winner shall be forfeited.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the Prize, except where prohibited by law.  If the winner is a United States resident, he/she will be issued an IRS 1099 form for the Prize value.  If the winner is a Canadian resident, he/she may be subject to withholding taxes and are responsible for the reporting and payment of any income tax.  By participating, Entrants agree to these Official Rules, Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at http://www.radissonblu.com) and to the Judge’s decisions, which are final and binding in all respects. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Contest and select the winner from all eligible Entries received prior to the cancellation or termination in a manner that Promoter deems fair and equitable. For Entrants residing or located in the Americas or Asia Pacific Region, the laws of the state of Minnesota, United States govern this Contest, with venue in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States and all claims must be resolved in the federal or state courts of Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. For Entrants residing or located in Europe, Middle East or Africa, the laws of Denmark govern this Contest, with venue in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Laws in the Entrant’s country of residence may give Entrant the right to file claims before the courts of that country and may provide that some laws of that country are also applicable to this Contest. However, if any provision of the Official Rules or the application of any such provision to any person or circumstance shall be declared to be invalid, unenforceable or void, such decision shall not have the effect of invalidating or voiding the remainder of the Official Rules, rather the Official Rules shall be deemed amended by modifying such provision to the extent necessary to render it valid, legal and enforceable while preserving its intent or, if such modification is not possible, by substituting another provision that is valid, legal and enforceable so as to give effect to Promoter’s intent.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: By accepting a Prize, the winner agrees, to the maximum extent permitted by law, that (a) the Contest Parties, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by winner against, any liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest; from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize; or from participation in any prize-related activity or any travel related thereto; (b) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs.


In the event, and to the extent, that English, French, German, or any other law applies where a liability limitation concerning death or bodily injury is not permitted, nothing in these terms and conditions shall be taken to limit or exclude any party’s liability for death or bodily injury caused by such party’s negligence, or for fraud.

Except where prohibited by law, winner grants (and agrees to confirm this grant in writing, if requested) permission for Promoter and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes in any media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without compensation.

WINNERS LIST: For winners’ names, city & state/province, and country, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope after September 5, 2014 and before November 5, 2014 to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, ATTN: Radisson Blu Social Eyes Contest, Avenue du Bourget 44, B1130 Brussels, Belgium.  Canada residents may omit return postage.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA: By agreeing to the Official Rules, Entrant authorizes the use and collection of his or her personal data, including the processing on Administrator’s servers located in Belgium and, as the case may be, overseas for the purpose of conducting the Contest only. Promoter will store and use personal data solely in accordance with the privacy policy published at http://www.radissonblu.com. If you are selected as a winner, your information may also be included in a publicly-available winner’s list. Promoter will not sell, share or otherwise disclose information collected in any manner with third parties, other than those parties necessary to fulfill the above purposes, unless Entrant has given his prior express consent to receive additional information from Promoter or a third party. Promoter will delete Entrants’ personal data related to the Contest within three (3) months after the end of the Contest Period.

Entrant may any time:

  • request information on the personal data on the Entrant being processed by Administrator on behalf of Promoter;
  • ask for blocking or deletion of the personal data being processed by Administrator on behalf of Promoter and to receive information on the identity of the recipients of the personal data;
  • request information on any security matters relating to the processing of Entrant’s personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation; or
  • withdraw his/her consent to the processing and disclosure of personal data, either in whole regarding specific personal data or purposes, although doing so will imply the Entrant’s disqualification in the Contest.

To exercise such right, Entrants may write to Rezidor Hotels ApS Danmark, Amager Strandvej 60-64, DK 2300 Copenhagen S, Denmark, which is acting in its own name and in the name of Radisson International Hotels Inc. in respect of all matters concerning Promoter’s control of data in relation to the Contest.
