Amidst the hustle and bustle of busy Sharjah are some tranquil havens where you can just step away from it all and relax. Here are our top tips for taking some time out in the UAE.

Sharjah is a thriving city, which may appear chaotic at first glance, but delve into the incredible culture on offer here and you will see a completely different side to it. Make sure you also take some time for rest and relaxation in between business meetings or sightseeing.

Laze around on the beach

Al Khan Beach is the first public beach in Sharjah. It is a 600-meter long haven for relaxation with plenty of sun loungers. All you need to do is bring along your favorite book and relax under a parasol. Note there is a fee of 20dhs for entrance and the sunbeds. If you find it hard to sit still, then the beach does also offer plenty of watersports activities to keep everyone entertained.

Connecting the city skyscrapers to the Black Sea is the beautiful promenade, Buhaira Corniche. It is the perfect place for a stroll among the tranquil palm trees while city life goes on behind you. If your form of relaxation involves jogging or cycling, this is an idyllic place to do just that. Alternatively, enjoy the waterfront views and beautiful sunsets as you picnic on the lawns.
