The creation of an international city hub
When Radisson Hotels challenged the renowned Spanish architectural studio Proyecto Singular to imagine a fresh new design, they were fueled by the words of author and civil rights activist Maya Angelou: "I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
This concept was translated to the development of an international city hub where guests can share meaningful moments in a social and welcoming setting. The interior design has its roots in the Mediterranean, with warm hued lighting, natural tones, furniture in soft velvet fabrics, and plants native to the region. Together, this creates an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere made for socializing.
Sleek spaces designed for relaxation
After a total transformation guests can enjoy tasteful design wherever they look in the Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, Stockholm. This starts in the lobby, which has light stone floors set alongside modern folding walls of glass and industrial metal, while the lobby bar is a focal point for guests and locals with its extensive bar and cocktail menu.
Guestrooms with light colored walls, modern panels in dark wood and beautiful light fixtures - complemented by art from talented young artists - are the perfect place to unwind. There’s also modern technological touches: Chromecasts have been placed in every room to allow audio and video streaming of guests' favorite series and films.

The hotel has become a meeting point for locals and guests alike, and the social spaces facilitating this have been stunningly revamped. Stockholm Fisk is a well-established restaurant and one of few in Stockholm that specializes in seafood. It has been a completely refurbished with an interior with natural colors and wood which breaks with furniture in darker tones. This create the perfect setting for a first class dining experience with some of the best prepared seafood from the Baltic Sea.
