Have you wondered more about the history of cocoa, how your favorite chocolate treats are made, or even dreamed of taking a ride through a chocolate wonderland? If so, then you will definitely enjoy a sweet family day out at Cadbury World in Birmingham.
The History of Cadbury
In 1824 on Birmingham’s Bull Street, John Cadbury established a shop selling tea, coffee and drinking chocolate. His sons continued this legacy, and in 1897, built a custom chocolate factory in an area they named Bournville. From there, Cadbury created and produced their famous treats like Dairy Milk, Flake, Caramel and Milk Tray chocolates. Since tours of the factory to see chocolates being made were always popular, in 1990, a dedicated Cadbury World was officially introduced to the public.
