Hatam

Located at Al Akd Al Fareed Street in Dibba Al Fujairah, this local restaurant offers a full Persian menu with sit in and take away available. Hatam can seem empty as many locals prefer to order take away, but it offers a great option for a sit down meal out. Feast on traditional meat kebabs or naan breads and definitely try the rice pudding for dessert. Hatam is a short 10 minute drive from the Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah.

Lebanese House

Lebanese food is hugely popular in the emirates and Lebanese House on Muntasir Road in Ras Al Khaimah offers a varied and consistent menu of traditional favourites. Try the hummus with chicken or the house mixed grill for a good value, tasty meal. Lebanese mezze is also a feature of the menu, served with mouth-watering fresh dips, olives and warm pita breads.

Akoya

International foods like sushi are becoming ever more popular in the emirates. Akoya on the Al Khuzam Road in Ras Al Khaimah offers iconic Japanese dishes like yakisoba and gyouza as well as sashimi and sushi. There are some interesting regional variations on the menu which are fun to try, like Arabian Rice. This dish consists of rice topped with grilled beef, fresh green salad with yoghurt and yakiniku sauce.

Pesto

Another international cuisine that has gained favour in Fujairah as in the rest of the world is Italian. Pesto, an Italian restaurant in Al Khaimah at Qawasim Al Corniche, offers take away and delivery as well as sit in dining options. Try classic Italian favourites like tomatoes and fresh Buffalo mozzarella served with pesto bruschetta as an appetizer before moving onto hot main dishes including pizza and pasta.

Pura Vida

This popular Brazilian restaurant on Al Maareedh Street in Ras Al Khaimah is a favourite with locals and regular visitors alike for the friendly, welcoming staff and high quality meat-based dishes and churrasco. At Pura Vida you can opt to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the views out to sea or in the opulent interior. Chef Marco has built a reputation for caring for his guests as if they were eating in his own home and he may even come and chat with you, checking everything is satisfactory and even producing some of his famous chocolate truffles. This is a definite must-visit restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah.
