4. Fujairah International Monodrama Festival
Every two years, a prestigious gathering and celebration of the theatrical arts is held in Fujairah. The International Monodrama Festival aims to support young and talented artists and was the natural outcome after a growing interest in theatrical arts in both the UAE and Dibba Al Fujairah. The monodrama, a dramatic piece performed by a single actor, is a genre that the founders, the Dibba Society for Culture, Arts and Theater, felt was lacking in the Arab World, and as such they founded the festival. You’re in for a treat as talented actors perform in this challenging, yet rewarding genre!
