As far as food festivals go, they don’t get much better than the Food & Fun in Finland festival.
This International festival brings together good food and hungry food lovers to Turku, Finland and the surrounding archipelago, for a week in the autumn of 2015. Food & Fun in Finland mixes outstanding culinary chefs and fresh natural ingredients, as twelve local restaurants and seven cocktail bars will receive a visit from top chefs and bartenders from all over the globe. The goal? To bring their own twist to the foodie map of Finland!
Starting September 30, 2015, visiting chefs at the Festival are challenged to create their own 4-course menus using the best of Finland’s archipelago ingredients - the emphasis for this competition and indeed the whole festival, is freshness and local produce. Bartenders are also in on the action, creating special drink menus that combine their style with Finnish ingredients.
For those lucky enough to be staying at the Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel and Lounge Bar, they will enjoy an extra special treat! World-renowned bartender, Asgeir Mar Björnsson from Slippbarinn in Reykjavik, will create experimental cocktails for guests to taste. Now that’s something to toast about!
