The jewel of the Côte d´Azur

Cannes, with its intimate narrow streets, its charm-filled old town, its sunny seaside location, and its impressive palm trees... Set off to discover the mythical city in the footsteps of some of the greatest men and women.

Nestled close to the old port, located only a few feet from the famous Croisette, soak up the atmosphere of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Thalasso, with its exceptional rooms that overlook the Mediterranean, its panoramic restaurant – the 360° – as well as its spa Les Thermes Marins.

After you've settled in, you'll proudly stroll around the legendary Palais des Festivals with a smile on your lips, viewing its equally famous red carpet. From May 17 to 28, hundreds of actors will populate the sidewalks of Cannes, much to your delight. Several photos later, carry on your star-studded stroll along the Boulevard de la Croisette, with its white sandy beaches, its iconic starlit palaces, and its impressive luxury stores.

Then go back up the shopping street, the rue d’Antibes, before gaining some altitude by strolling up the narrow, winding streets to the summit at Suquet, the city's historic birthplace. You'll discover all the charm and authenticity of the oldest neighborhood in Cannes, taking the time to admire the bay from one of the prettiest vantage points in the city.

If you're a seafarer, take a boat ride several kilometers out from Cannes, to explore the Lérins Islands, where nature, culture, and relaxation co-exist in perfect harmony. At Sainte-Marguerite, the largest of the two islands, you can visit the royal fort that became a state prison in the early 18th century. This is where the Man in the Iron Mask is said to have been imprisoned. The other island, Saint-Honorat, is still home to around twenty Cistercian monks.

Returning back to land, you won't want to miss visiting the Musée de la Castre, with its collections of art and objects from Oceania, the Himalayas, and the Americas. Round off your day with a delicious meal at the Table du Chef which combines traditional cuisine and fresh products in welcoming and authentic surroundings. Good enough to make you forget the sunshine!
