Midsummer Festival - Celebrate the shortest night!
If you happen to be in Latvia on June 23rd, Midsummer festival “Ligo” or “Jani” is a must. The festival happens the night of 23rd to 24th June. Latvians celebrate the shortest night of the year and get closer to Mother Nature by celebrating nature’s fertility trough several rituals. Enjoy the songs, dances, food and beer until the morning light!
Rigas Ritmi Festival - For jazz lovers
In late summer, from the 2nd to 6th of July, Riga's guests will have the opportunity to enjoy jazz music in many places throughout the city as part of the Rīgas Ritmi festival. In addition to performances, it offers workshops for musicians at the legendary 1st studio of Latvijas Radio, as well as the project "Rīgas Ritmi Showcase", which wants to shine a light on Latvian jazz performers and improvisers in an attempt to stir the attention of foreign producers, journalists and festival organizers. Highlights of the festival line-up this year include Richard Bona, French jazz singer Caloe & Clement Simon, Beady Belle and others.

Positivus Festival - Most popular music festival in Latvia
From 26th to 27th July, the Salacgrīva town, located on the shore of the Gulf of Riga, welcomes the Positivus festival, which each year attracts large crowds and has become popular with locals and tourists alike. The three-day music festival traditionally brings together international stars with well-known Latvian artists, ranging from Ellie Goulding, Iggy Pop, Grimes, and Wolf Alice to Latvian bands such as Ozols, Alise Joste, Dzelzs Vilks, Carnival Youth, DaGamba, Mielavs or Pārcēlāji. Its amazing location on the beach makes it an unforgettable experience: think sea, velvet sunsets and warm sand beneath your feet combined with beautiful music for any taste.
LABA DABA - Good nature
This unique festival is all about good people and beautiful nature ('laba' in Latvian means good and 'daba' nature). LABA DABA is all about embracing the nature and connecting it with some good music. Free your ideas, dance until sunrise, enjoy the music, in general, just relax and enjoy the positive vibes that this festival brings. This festival is just an hour away from Riga and Ligatne and happens from the 2nd – 4th of August.
