Known for its innovation, simplicity of form and functionality, Scandinavian design is so much more than boxed mass production. Read on to discover more about this inspiring event.
The world’s leading event for Scandinavian Design
The Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair (SFLF) is THE meeting place for interior design lovers. The fair hosts the latest innovations in the interior design and the lighting field. In 2018, more than 200 events took place, attracting 31% of visitors coming from abroad. And impressively, a record number of 100 countries were represented by these visitors.
Stockholmsmässan exhibition hall is the venue for this event. Exhibitors will join into categories such as furniture, textiles, bedding, upholstery and light fittings. There are also top notch design talks where the admission is free . Audiences can listen to high-profile guest speakers talking about full range of topics about design and creativity. What's more, Greenhouse is a special exhibition for independent designers and design schools to share their prototypes to the public. It's the ideal place to spot the next up-and-coming design stars in interior design while they're still largely unknown.
Dates for next SFLF are 3 - 9 February 2020. Stay tuned to learn more about the upcoming event!
Stockholm Design Week Winter Edition

Some highlights from the SDW 2018 include the Light House - a light experience design project installed in Kungsträdgården and the Smultronstället exhibition celebrating 100 years of Ingmar Berman as an extension of the School of Engineering at Jönköping University’s stand at SFLF. Similarly, the Furniture Design Museum displayed 700 objects created by leading Nordic and international designers and Young Swedish Design displayed 20 contributions.
The next Stockholm Design Week will be held on February 3-9, 2020, in different venues around the city of Stockholm. A great place for networking, inspiration and promotion in design industry. It's business by day, fun by night, making sure that each event balances in-depth discussions with plenty of socializing.
Throughout the week, the Stockholmsmässan remains at the center of everything, so you'll want to make sure you're staying conveniently close.
