Whether you want to watch spectacular dolphin shows, go for a ride on a Ferris wheel or go for a splashing ride down a water slide, Gran Canaria has got it you covered. We’ve selected the top 5 theme and water parks on the island, so read on!
1. Perfect family day out in Palmitos Park
Our list starts with the island’s top zoo and botanic experience, Palmitos Park. Located near Maspalomas and our Radisson Blu Resort, Gran Canaria, the park is home to a mind-blowing 1,500 exotic birds, 160 different species of tropical fish, dolphins and impressive shows of both raptors and parrots. Not to mention the spectacular butterfly house, the biggest of its kind in Europe, home to hundreds of butterflies. If you’re a fan of photography then this is the place to be – while the younger ones enjoy everything else the park has to offer.
One of the main attractions is the dolphin show, with two shows being held each day. Watch as these majestic beings emerge from the water and jump high into the air. If watching them from the stands isn’t enough you can purchase a ticket to get into the water with them and see the dolphins up close. Looking to relax? You can also watch as birds of prey soar through the spectacular valley in which the park sits. What are you waiting for?
