Each year, awards such as the the World Travel Awards, Leaders in Hospitality Awards as well other reputable entities such as the Business Travel & MICE Awards acknowledge the world's best hotels in a variety of different categories. And Radisson Blu leads the way time and again, from leading business hotel to leading hotel suite. See below for a look at our best performing hotels from around the globe.
Leading hotels in Africa
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Today, this prestigious award is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of travel industry excellence. In 2019, our hotels in Africa and the Middle East came out on top. In Africa: the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, Kigali, Rwanda was named Africa's Leading Conference Hotel as well as Rwanda's Leading Business Hotel and Leading Conference Hotel.
The Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel, Libreville was named Gabon's Leading Hotel, and the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako was named Mali's Leading Hotel. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar Sea Plaza was named Senegal's Leading Hotel.
Leading hotels in the Middle East
Aditionally, this year Hospitality Awards by Hotel & Catering News celebrates hotels and restaurants that shape the hospitality industry. Two of our Radisson Blu hotels in Dubai have been recognized. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Waterfront was named Leading New Hotel in the Middle East. The fact that its aim is to become the Friendliest Five Star Hotel in Dubai definitely contributed to it coming out on top - but the uninterrupted views of the Burj Khalifa might have something to do with it as well! The Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek has also won the Lifetime Achievement Award for the second time, particularly for its succulent food and beverages offering.

The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel wins for its 'belgitude'
Located a stone's throw away from the Grand Place, you really can't get more central than the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Brussels. As the winner for Belgium's Leading Hotel 2018 by the World Travel Awards, it is the hotel's particular attention to providing guests with a true experience of the locale that stands out. This “Belgitude” is honored in the entire meeting spaces through stylish design and touches which pay tribute to the country. The meeting rooms’ ceilings for example echo the blue skies in the famous Magritte paintings with wallpaper designed by Fornassetti who, like Magritte, shares the taste for dream-inspired design. Belgian products are put in the spotlight as well: delicious local delights such as tomatoes stuffed with grey shrimp from North Sea, Cuberdons & Belgian chocolate.
